Ben Seager-Scott is set to leave Evelyn Partners in the spring to take on the role of CIO at advisory firm Mazars, after nearly a decade at the company.

He is currently head of multi-asset funds at Evelyn, and has been at the company since 2014, when he joined as director of investment strategy.

The company was known as Tilney Group at the time and was rebranded to Evelyn Partners following the merger between Tilney and Smith & Williamson in 2019.

Seager-Scott has been in his current role since April 2019.

At Mazars, he will take over from David Baker, who has been at the firm for 23 years, and held the role of CIO for the last 11. Baker, who is also a partner, will remain at the company.

A spokesperson for Evelyn Partners explained Seager-Scott will remain at the company for a "couple of months" and his responsibilities will be reallocated in due course.

Mazars has declined to comment on the appointment.
