Billionaire investor George Soros has reportedly lost $1bn from bearish investments in the aftermath of Donald Trump's US election victory.

Predicting a downturn in markets due to the increased volatility a Trump victory would bring, Soros held cautious positions prior to the election and took an even more bearish outlook afterwards, according to the Wall Street Journal.
