Scottish Mortgage is AIC's most searched for trust

Highest number of monthly visits in January

Baillie Gifford's £7.8bn Scottish Mortgage investment trust was the most searched for investment company on the Association of Investment Companies' website for the first half of 2018, according to the latest figures from the trade body.

The AIC also revealed the record for the highest number of monthly visits to the site - previously achieved in March 2017 - was broken in January, while a 15% traffic increase was seen from January to June this year, compared to the first half of 2017. Baillie Gifford's Scottish Mortgage investment trust, managed by James Anderson and Tom Slater, topped the list as the most viewed member investment company on the AIC website, having also achieved this feat during the first half of 2017.
