Powe takes over GLG Continental Europe fund

GLG has made Rory Powe manager of its Continental Europe fund, following his move to the group in July.

Powe, a European veteran who made his name running the Invesco Perpetual European Growth fund in the 1990s before launching his own business, will take over the fund from Sandy Rattray, chief executive of Man Group's AHL quantitative trading division. Under Rattray (pictured) the £64m fund has returned 61.4% over the last five years, ahead of the IMA Europe ex-UK sector average of 49%.
