OMGI hires responsible investment head from Newton

Old Mutual Global Investors (OMGI) has hired Newton Investment Management's Freddie Woolfe as head of responsible investment and stewardship.

After joining the firm on 13 November, Woolfe will report to UK equities head Richard Buxton, working alongside the fund management teams. He will be responsible for the firm's stewardship work which will entail providing guidance on corporate governance to its senior management team while ensuring investment decisions are aligned with the firm's stewardship code.
