Odey AM partner Montagu departs to run sandwich business

Odey deputy chairman Orlando Montagu is leaving the firm after 16 years to focus on his family's sandwich business.

Montagu joined the firm in 2001 before being promoted to a partner in 2007 and also sits on the firm's executive committee. He joined from corporate finance specialist MAP Corporate Finance.  According to Bloomberg, Montagu will leave at the end of March to focus on his family's sandwich business Earl of Sandwich, which was founded in 1999.  He is a direct descendant of the 4th Earl of Sandwich, who is believed to have invented the snack itself in the 18th century.
