Nick Train, manager of the Finsbury Growth & Income trust, has been steadily increasing his holdings in the trust and purchased 477,000 shares of the portfolio since the end of May last year.
In a stock exchange announcement yesterday (4 January), the company said the manager had purchased another 25,000 shares of £0.25 each at an average price of 856 pence per share. This brought his total holding to 4,804, 639 ordinary shares, or 2.3% of the company's issued share capital. In May, Investment Week reported Train's holding to be 1.9% or 4.3 million shares, which was up from 3.1 million at the end of September 2020.
