Legg Mason has promoted Joe O'Donnell to the newly created role of head of wealth management distribution and investment trusts, Investment Week can reveal.

O'Donnell (pictured), who will report to head of UK sales Alex Barry, will be responsible for wealth management distribution strategy in the role, which he took up in September, according to his LinkedIn profile. Pictet AM appoints Legg Mason's Franklin as head of UK wholesale Additionally, in his role as head of investment trusts, he will also be responsible for business development in the North, Midlands and Bristol.
