Fidelity Global Special Situations manager Jeremy Podger tells Laura Dew what has contributed to the outperformance of his fund as he passes his three-year anniversary.
Jeremy Podger, formerly head of global equities at Threadneedle, joined Fidelity in March 2012 to take over the underperforming Global Special Situations fund from Jorma Korhonen. He spent the first six months restructuring the fund into three categories of holdings, with the aim of identifying global companies with significant potential for share price appreciation. Since then, Podger has turned the fund's performance around to return 66.1% over the three years of his tenure versus a sector average of 46.5%, according to Morningstar.
