Quaero Capital hires ex-Ardevora manager for global equity launch

Ahead of core global equity strategy launch

Quaero Capital has recruited two ex-Ardevora colleagues, fund manager Gianluca Monaco and sales director Jon Garland, as the group prepares to launch a global equity strategy, Investment Week can reveal.

The boutique, which has around £2bn under management in the UK in concentrated, actively management products, has hired Garland as sales and marketing director and Monaco as senior fund manager.  In due course, a core global equity strategy will be launched, run by Monaco, which will adopt an investment process based on cognitive psychology.
