Columbia Threadneedle looks to Fidelity and Merian for analyst hires

Will join UK and European equities teams

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has hired from Fidelity International and Merian Global Investors respectively to fill two analyst roles in its UK and European equities teams.

Kunal Kothari will join the 15-strong UK equities team as a UK equity analyst from Merian Global Investors, where he spent eight years researching UK companies across various sectors. In his new role, Kothari will support investment decisions across the desk, reporting to Chris Kinder, portfolio manager of Columbia Threadneedle's higher alpha UK equities strategies.
