Cayenne trust plans wind up after co-manager joins Witan

The Cayenne investment trust is to set to wind up next year as co-managers Len Gayler and James Hart pursue other opportunities.

Hart will join the Witan investment team in the second half of April, working with Andrew Bell (pictured) and team, while Gayler - CEO of Cayenne Asset Management - plans to step back from management of Cayenne next year. Accordingly, the fund of investment trusts’ board is to propose an orderly realisation of the company’s assets in 2016. The trust will continue until at least August 2016, the date on which its 3.25% convertible loan will redeem, Cayenne said in a statement this morning.
