BNY Mellon's McCarthy departs after five years as distribution head

Fergus McCarthy, head of UK & Ireland intermediary distribution at BNY Mellon Investment Management has left the group, Investment Week can reveal.

McCarthy joined BNY Mellon in 2014 and helped restructure its sales approach in the UK, while also promoting Insight Investment and its other US boutiques. A spokesperson for the firm said: "I can confirm that, Fergus McCarthy, head of UK & Ireland intermediary is leaving the business and is currently serving his notice on gardening leave. "Fergus has made a significant contribution to the business during his tenure.
