Ascentric's Thorman to exit following Royal London buyout

Ascentric managing director Hugo Thorman is to leave the firm this summer following Royal London's buyout of the platform's minority shareholding in the business.

Thorman, who joined Ascentric in 2005, first announced he would step down from the role last summer. At that time Ascentric said Thorman would remain as chairman of the group, working closing with incoming MD Jon Taylor. Today, however, Ascentric said Thorman will leave in July to "pursue opportunities elsewhere". He will be placed as chairman by Royal London Asset Management CEO Andrew Carter.
