Alliance Trust Savings hires former FCA and BoE advisor as board chair

Alliance Trust Savings (ATS) has hired former Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Regulatory Authority (PRA) senior advisor Ron Baxter as chairman of its board.

Subject to regulatory approval, Baxter will work alongside non-executive directors Jonathan Anderson and Gregor Stewart. He is currently a non-executive director of consumer lending business Together Personal Finance, while also spending six years as non-executive of Skandia Insurance Group. Prior to ATS, Baxter spent almost 12 years in regulation, initially at the FCA and then latterly at the PRA/Bank of England.
