Anna Fedorova talks to Aidan Kearney, co-head of Aberdeen Asset Management's multi-manager team, about market valuations and rotating to better value funds.
Aberdeen Asset Management has some £13bn in multi-manager funds, and the recent acquisition of Scottish Widows Strategic Partnership (SWIP) is adding around £7bn to this figure, making this area a stronger focus for the group. The team runs five portfolios with varying risk profiles, ranging from Diversified Alpha to Equity Managed. The Multi-Asset Distribution fund, which sits in the middle of the risk scale, has made 19.5% over three years to 28 March, according to FE, beating the IMA Mixed Investment 20%-60% Shares sector average of 16.2%.
